Back in the year of 2007, Santa Catarina’s neighbourhood, especially in its crossing with Rua do Poço dos Negros, wouldn’t be one of Lisbon’s noblest areas. We stumbled upon this building, among so many others in need of rehabilitation, which caught our eye with its high ceilings, balconies and a hidden 170 sqm backyard. Having preserved its original structure and construction traits, the building has now 3 apartments, 2 of them duplex.
15 years gone by, the once shabby looking neighbourhood is now home to a big international community and thrives with its shops and cafés, as well as restaurants from all over the world.
