Building

This building can be found in the heart of downtown Lisbon, at the end of “Rua da Madalena”, a well-known street by its "Marquês de Pombal" architecture and construction techniques, from after the earthquake of 1755. It is more than 200 years old and has been home for many families and place for offices and local businesses. It has 2 stores and 12 apartments.

Project development

• It took 8 months to restore this building, in 2014, and the works were executed by Paviana.
• An elevator was installed, the stairwell and all common areas were recovered, the roof and structural elements were checked and the window frames and infrastructures networks were updated.
• The sales of the apartments took place in 2015, with the exception for all 3 apartments on the 1st floor, that were renovated and sold later in 2016.
• The renovation of the apartments took 5 months the be concluded and the works were executed by PMJ. These 3 flats were former offices and warehouses, so over the years they have been tampered with the original. The architecture project is by the architect Rita Macedo who created a concept for each space, in order to get the most from some original or existing elements.
• The apartment 1st floor front was sold as turnkey, having been decorated and equipped by Vintage Department store.
